THERE IS A SECOND DEATH

"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9).

People have various and varying interpretations of what this scripture means. At the very base of its message is a God who loves us and calls on us to be in a holy relationship with Him. He makes His plans for us quite clear. At the end of our struggles with the devil, there is an eternity with Him that He has prepared for us.

Will we all accept the salvation that Jesus Christ won for us?

Here is another scripture that speaks for itself.

This is John. Through the Spirit of God, he receives a glimpse of what it will look like in the end.

"6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”(Revelation 21:6-8 ). A relationship with God through Jesus Christ saves us from the second death.
