Kwesi Oginga is a gifted storyteller whose ministry, art, and writing spring from a single well of compassion, creativity and Christ. As the Founder and Senior Pastor of House of the Good News Worship & Prayer in Silver Spring, MD, he brings genuine warmth and insight to every message just like how he pours the same into every canvas, script, and stage. Visual Artist & Curator Kwesi has transformed his home into a vibrant gallery where his original works—alive with color, texture, and spiritual insight—invite viewers into deeper reflection. His paintings have been showcased at public libraries across Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties, at the Organization of American States in Washington, D.C., and within esteemed cultural venues from New York City festivals to embassies and private collections in Europe, the Caribbean, and Guyana.

Author & Literary Voice
A prolific writer, Kwesi is the author of 14 published books spanning plays, poems, novels, prayers, sermons, and academic studies. His manuscripts have earned Certificates of Excellence at the Guyana Festival of the Arts and have been featured in the Festival of the Guianas (Suriname & French Guiana) as well as Carifest in Barbados, Cuba, Jamaica, and Guyana. Each work bears his signature blend of heartfelt storytelling and theological depth.

Theater Maker & Mentor
In 2008, Kwesi founded The Good News Theater at his Silver Spring residence, where he writes, directs, and teaches. His award-winning productions—honored for best play, set design, direction, and supporting performances—have toured stages throughout the Caribbean, South America, and the United States, training a new generation of performers in both craft and calling.
